Creating a bespoke piece of jewelry is a highly personal experience and every design starts with a conversation to get to know you better. Understanding the individual you are, rather than the jewelry you like, allows us to explore options you might not have considered. This holistic approach is integral in realizing a design that will be uniquely yours.

We will guide you throughout the entire process, from the ideation stage to the fabrication of the piece. Your ongoing feedback ensures that each design iteration takes on more of your personality As we brainstorm ideas, we will provide you with sketches of different design options. Digital simulations can be generated to help you visualize the piece on you and depending on the design, we are also able to ship you a physical prototype to try on. These discussions usually take place over a mix of text messages, emails, and phone calls.

We work with modern as well as antique and vintage stones. We will guide you in finding the right stone for you. We are also happy to re-purpose an existing stone of yours.

Prior to casting in gold, a ring prototype can be shipped to you to ensure that the fit and design are as expected. Our goal is to make this experience stress-free and fun.

CUSTOM PET PORTRAIT CARVINGS

Portrait carvings known as Essex crystals were popular during Georgian times and often depicted fauna and flora themes. Each one is created by first carving a rock crystal cabochon – a clear gem domed on one side, flat on the other – with the desired motifs, which are in turn painted layer by layer to add depth to the piece. Only a few artists today master this Ancient art form. Our long time partner, Michael Peuster, is a renowned Master carver in Idar Oberstein, the historical epicenter for gem carving and has developed proprietary techniques to fine tune the resolution of the details.

To get started on your custom portrait, all we need is a photo of your pet and the desired shape of the portrait (round, oval, heart, etc.). Once completed, the portrait can be set like any gemstone. We will walk you through the design process, whether it is to create a simple gold bezel or something more complex.
